By bus

Take a Macarena fleet bus that leaves from the saltpeter terminal or from the Yomasa terminal in Bogotá. Directly to the municipality of Mesetas Meta, the tour takes approximately 6 hours

In the municipality of Mesetas, you must transfer in a car from the Cooperativa de CoontrasMeta, which leaves every day only at 1.30 pm to the Buenavista village. It is 35 km traveled in a duration of 45 minutes or one hour to the ETCR

(It is recommended to go in a truck type car or 4x4 off-road due to the terrain conditions)

Private or special transport

Via Bogotá - Villavicencio: on the route to the plain, once you reach Villavo, take the road that leads to Acacias, then Granada and there follow the National Route 65 / 65ª, to Mesetas. From there you should go to the route that takes you to the Buenavista village

Other places of tourist interest en route:

It is important to highlight that on the Bogotá - Mesetas route we will pass through a part of two large departments of our Colombian country. The first of them is the department of Cundinamarca, encompassing municipalities such as: Chipaque, Une, Cáqueza, Guayabetal and from there an open mouth as we enter the mountains of the eastern cordillera to inevitably give way to the eastern plains in the department of Meta.

A place where llanero folklore allows you to enjoy an intense stomping to the rhythm of the Joropo enjoying practices such as coleo, to the sound of the harp, the cuatro and the maracas and tasting typical dishes such as: La mamona, la cachama, las hayacas, tungos, sancocho de gallina and sweet corn cachapas.

The tour of this department begins with its capital Villavicencio, better known as Villavo, continuing through municipalities such as: Acacías, Cubarral, San Martín, Castilla la Nueva, El Castillo, Granada, Lejanías and finally we will arrive in Mesetas.

It is worth highlighting the natural wealth throughout these municipalities, finding innumerable waterfalls, diversity in flora and fauna, natural waters that look like rainbows  of colors in the midst of almost impenetrable landscapes, a number of elements  historical  and cultural and an inevitable heritage to visit.
